This is a 1923 farmhouse which had a 1970's addition. There are 5 bedrooms and 2 baths. Prairie Meadow Room has a queen bed, with a view of native prairie. The Wrangler Room has a king bed and couch. The Powercat Room has a full bed. Upstairs are 2 rooms, each with 2 twin beds. The Americana Room is located at the top of the stairs and the Harvest Room is adjacent. Visitors must pass through the Americana Room to get to the Harvest Room. There is a living/dining room with a TV and internet. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining room. There is also a washer and dryer available. One bath has a shower/tub and the other has a shower. It is located in a beautiful scenic Flint Hills setting, with area to hike in native Tallgrass Prairie and view the Kansas River Valley. The decor is vintage farmhouse. It isn't fancy but it is comfortable and provides the opportunity for a family or group of friends to stay and enjoy time together. It is convenient for visitors attending K-State football games and other events or visiting family at Ft. Riley or in the Manhattan area. We are less than 2.5 miles or 5 minutes to downtown Manhattan.

Summary: The owner seemed very pleasant on the phone. However, the morning of our stay we were directed to a different house/location. The house we stayed in was VERY outdated, had old bedding and towels and smelled old. Since we had smaller children the basement was unusable because there were ceramics/crafts miscellaneous in one room plus in the kitchenette. The yard was nice for the children to play in but greatly in need of being mowed. Since it was graduation weekend we had no other option but to stay there. Some of our group went and stayed with another part of our group at a different location.

Summary: Our hosts Chris & Ron were super!! They were very responsive to our needs and the old farm house was fun and comfortable as advertised. We will rent from them again.

Summary: This is a very cozy and accommodating old farmhouse. Lots of beds for several people and plenty of room to move about. Very charming with many unique features. We only stayed the night and unfortunately were not able to take advantage of the outside spaces. We had 1 small issue and Chris was very fast to reply and come take care of it. If you are looking for secluded, outdoors, and quiet, this is it!

Summary: My stay was everything I wanted. Chris provided us with everything ihad asked for. I wanted to be in the country away from everybody but yet close to town. Perfect. If I had one recommendation it would be for new mattresses.

Summary: The owners were very easy to get in contact with and very friendly. The home has plenty of space. The location is good as you are very close to downtown Manhattan. However I find it very hard to understand paying a cleaning fee when the house that was supposedly cleaned upon arrival was farrrrr from clean. Looked like it has been a long time since it had been dusted or vacuumed. Especially upstairs. There were bugs everywhere and dirt and dust and cobwebs. The 2nd fridge is basically not useable as well. I think this would be a great place to stay but it needs a serious deep clean.

Summary: The house only has 7 beds, 4 which were twins. So really the house had only room for 10 people and the rest have to sleep on air mattress or pull out sofa which was not clean. That didn't matter as much as it being unclean. If it would have been only my husband and I we would have gone to motel. We had 16 people which you could not find a motel in evening at last minute. The hostess was very nice and welcoming. I explained to the hostess about the unclean areas and she said I could get a 20% discount on next stay.
